Original purple cloth. (xviii), 547, (1) pp. Spine a bit sunned, lightly spotted; VG copy. The errata pages have a large light "X" mark, and on the first errata page is written small in ink "entered by T.H.K." The printed corrections have been entered by hand in ink in a tiny hand (presumably the author's) in the text. Key (1799-1875) was a noted English classical scholar and Sanskritist in his day. The book grew out of his Lectures on Comparative Grammar delivered in University College, London, 1841-73.
